with some coloring! why not?

i guess the coloring was really hard work because he just sort of slouched over on the desk and gave up

this is from last night when we had a massive book reading session. he can count almost all the way to 10 on his own, identify almost every fruit in 'the very hungry caterpillar' book and this morning he said 'one... two... uno... dos...'

this was also last night when he decided it would be a blast to eat pretzels with his legs sticking up in the air. notice the potato heads in the background? he loves to stick grapes in their butts

this morning he said his first sentence!! he finished breakfast, made eye contact and very clearly proclaimed "all done. i'm full" i feel very blessed to have this blog to keep track of these amazing moments because - lets be real - mommy drinks and has a bad memory. oh, come on! i'm kidding! (sort of...)
do you remember your kids first sentences?

Aww that's so cute!
As for first sentences.. It probably went along the lines of..
"I want."
"Gimme dat"
Or something like that lol
I can't remember offhand what their first sentences were, but I do have them written down somewhere.
However, I clearly know the first time my kid lied to me. She was 18 months old, and I called my mom proud. That's right, proud, that she was so smart to be able to lie! Ohhh...if only I knew what that would translate into when she turned seven! Ha!
wow trish i never even considered that liam would know how to lie that early! i remember being taught to lie when i was around 4 or 5 by my aunt. up until then it never occurred to me not to tell the truth...
